Lana Evanson
Dance Instructor
Lana Evanson began dancing at age three. She took lessons at the Salt Lake Dance Center, Drill Express Dance Academy and Linda Fenton's Ballet School. She had the opportunity to teach while at Drill Express Dance Academy. She went to New York in the summer of 2003 and the spring of 2006 to study dance at Steps and Broadway Dance Center. While attending Olympus High School, Lana was in charge of choreography and technique for the Drill Team. In addition, she was involved in dance company.
In 2001 and 2002, she was a backup dancer for a singer who performed throughout Utah. Lana has been involved in many solo and group competitions throughout the nation. She also had a lead part in "West Side Story" in 2005 at the Hale Centre Theater in Orem.
After high school, Lana went to UVSC on a dance scholarship and was a member of their competition/performance dance team. She also had opportunities to choreograph for and cheer at college games.
Lana is finishing her last semesters at UVU studying Exercise Science and will graduate in April 2009.
